Jesus H. Logged on to Facebook for the first time in a month or so. Why are old white people so damn dumb? The number of my uncle's suburban New Jersey friends and friends of friends spreading Clinton conspiracies is something to behold.

You know who had the strongest motive to kill Jeffrey Epstein? Jeffrey Epstein. The guy knew he was going to die in prison. Why spend the next 30 years dying in jail when you can just get it over with now?

Usually w/r/t government and political matters when it's a question of incompetence or conspiracy the answer is incompetency.

Usually, too, when you're about to face the music for selling 14 year olds as sex slaves after a life of luxury and ease, and you're found dead in your prison cell and it looks like suicide and it's a question of suicide or conspiracy, it's suicide.

This isn't a strong argument, because it's clear that Epstein's case is unusual. For example, yes, he was looking at dying in prison, but about twelve years ago he also should have been looking at life imprisonment, and somehow... he got a "work release" arrangement so that he sat in his office six days a week. Epstein was extremely wealthy and he knew how to use that wealth to exploit the law. His treatment is so far outside the norm that the ultimate cause -- conspiracy versus something else -- is irrelevant. Specific to yesterday's events, I think it's suspicious that Epstein was (apparently) taken off suicide watch recently. I'd guess that decision was either incompetence, as you said, or more manipulation of the system by Epstein so he could go the Hermann Goering route.

This [expletive] needs to be investigated. The cynical response of "This [expletive] happens all the time" only adds to the need.

There is another potential conspiracy I wonder about, how someone looks at the current situation and screams "Clinton!" Epstein died in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a part of William Barr's Department of Justice. Nobody cares to protect the Clintons, as they have no political power and are not that wealthy. It's weird to think that they could have much influence at this point. There have to be questions of how and why this theory became a thing.

It probably wasn't suicide.

Certainly it needs investigated. Certainly there are a lot of tangential issues and people tied to this case. However, as a counterpoint to this, I'd say that our era of the internet and the ability to quickly and easily spread a conspiracy rumor to the point that even POTUS ends up re-tweeting it also adds to the need to investigate it.

We know what kind of criminal Trump is: arrogant, unrepentant, and incompetent, whether he's ripping off "students" of Trump University or obstructing justice, he's not exactly at a Cheney level of expertise in criminality. If there's something to this, as an incompetent imbecile surrounded by people in jobs that are way over their heads and their shared level of criminal deceit, it will show itself.

Funny you should ask that. A few people made this very point in my uncle's friend's Facebook thread I referenced. You'll be surprised to learn the Clintons are still very much working the levers of power behind the scenes. Their reach and influence have tentacles reaching deep into the federal government to this day. If Bill or Hillary want to kill a guy in federal jail, they still have friends in high places who can make it happen.

So there you go.

If there was a plot to kill Epstein people in high places, I don't think you send a guy into his cell to strangle him and make it look like suicide by hanging. You just do some administrative shuffling. Take him off suicide watch, as it seems had been done, or move some guard shifts around such that nobody checks on him for a few hours.

Folks seem to imagine that people in Epstein's situation have a guard just sitting there 5 feet away watching him like a hawk 24/7. I don't think that's how it works but somebody who know jail procedures correct me if I'm wrong.

Same for My elderly ex-neighbor lady that went from being Bernie liberal to full-on Qanon conspiracist. She buys into pizzagate also and Julian Assange is like Diety to her.

She doesn't like Trump she says, but somehow he is a useful figure in "draining the swamp" which from what I can decipher means taking down the Int'l cabal of pedophiles and power brokers -of which the Clinton are key figures.

That presidential alert text message -somehow a signal in draining the swamp call to action. I had some testy email exchanges with her, because she basically called me a dumb ass for not being able to filter out the news and decipher all this truth.

I had to ask her if my ordering Cheese Pizza was going to have me rounded up. I threw The backstory of Trump guy- Acosta role in Epsteins deal at her, which the Miami paper had just broke. She didn't say much, I don't think the Q had worked their way around that one yet

She sent me links to q websites etc (I didnt go there) telling me there is a lot to learn if I can tune out all the porn and racism.....

That was last summer and winter. She had calmed down later on(at least with me) to the point of just saying " it is all so confusing!"
Meanwhile she tells me how she is fighting with her homosexual grandson about her bizarre Trump stances.

She is over 90. No apparent dementia otherwise. This Qanon Clinton stuff is what she will likely die with stuck in her craw, after her lifelong liberalism which included the civil rights battles (she integrated local Cubs Scout troops) etc etc etc.

I will be seeing her soon again (I help her with her taxes) , and am dreading it. Will need to be as elusive as Barry Sanders that day in the conversation.

...kind of hoping the slight chance that the Trumper-led conspiracies around Epstien are too obtuse for her. Maybe not bizarre enough. Doubtful.

Jeffrey Epstein Was a ‘Terrific Guy,’ Donald Trump Once Said. Now He’s ‘Not a Fan.’

This is an article from July. It seems like from this article that Trump clearly knew about what Epstein was doing. Trump brags about barring Epstein from his properties and events. Let’s pretend for a moment that Trump really did not partake in any sex with underage girls….imagine knowing about a monster like Epstein and what he was doing but not blowing the whistle on him. I know it’s comical to expect Trump to do something like that, and the fact it is so far-fetched shows how awful a person he is. But that is yet another aspect of this: how many people knew about this but never said a word about it? All those people are also guilty
