i agree. i dont really consider GnR a hair band but that image/scene is burned into my brain.

Pretty sure they started out in the hair band movement. They just turned out to make way better songs.

2nd from left looks a bit like Patterson Hood. Would be hilarious if Drive By Truckers started out as hair band.
