I'll take thin or thick, appreciate both. I like the deep dish in Chicago, and I like the thin stuff in Europe. In St. Louis it's the sauce that I can't get used to.

To the original question - St. Louis has always been midwest to me. Knoxville isn't dramatically different as a southern city, but St. Louis just doesn't feel southern.

As for the pizza debate we're having, I'm with Dan in saying that my pizza needs to be freshly made and still hot. I'll eat pretty much any "brand" of pizza if it's just been cooked. But when you wait around and it gets lukewarm/cold, it just doesn't cut it for me. :|

We are definately midwest but I do love that southern accent. My family is from southern Illinois and it is amazing how southern their accent is and they are only 2 hours away. Chicago is upper midwest but they don't have that midwest flavor about them.
