I've been known to start backing up before the snap if I see an indication that the play is coming my way.

...but some of their opponents do.
I was accross the field when Kevin Curtis get blasted into next week on the last play of the loss to the Chiefs. You could see the little cartoon birds circling his head when he was led off a few minutes later. It was pretty loud 70 yards away.
