I've never caught a tarpon or bonefish, so that's my goal.

Re: Fishing
Was sitting and drinking a beer at below great spot on the Current R. It is swift about 20 yards up and corners into this bluff. Two fisherman I had passed earlier come on downstream and guy in front casts into 1st corner hole by bluff and zzzing, reels in a beautiful trout -guess about 16 inches.
He quickly stows it away and manages 3 or 4 casts in that stretch while guy in back of canoe steered and managed couple casts himself Iconic. Wish I had a video.
I don't know fishing worth a damn, but could tell these boys knew what they were doing.
The guy had a (Mike) Trout shirt on. True.

Re: Fishing
This toad was caught about 200 yards from my back deck a few days ago.
40 pounds 6 ounces. Beat the current state record for browns by 6 pounds (which was set in February in almost the same place, previous record was 28.) Only a pound and a half from the world record.
I've seen plenty of bruisers cruising the docks, but biggest brown I've landed is around 12 pounds. I expect the WR to be broken within the next couple years.

Re: Fishing
You're in new hamshire, right? If you're interseted in fly fishing, you should take trip to Manchester, VT, to Orvis headquarters. They put on a lot of public fly fishing clinics.Radbird wrote:There are a lot of lakes up here. I need to take up fishing.
