Re: movies
Watched a couple of movies recently and wanted to share:
"Kin" - A ho-hum sci-fi movie about a kid who has a super-powered rail gun. It came from some alien species. He uses it help his brother, who is a criminal and low-life. There's an attractive girl who plays the brother's girlfriend, but she's mostly just there and doesn't do much. James Franco plays the head bad guy, in a typical James Franco role. Not worth your time, unless you're really into sci-fi.
"The Spy Who Dumped Me" - This was pretty funny, even though it had a bit more violence than you might expect out of a comedy. It also has some spy intrigue that keeps you guessing. The Outtakes and Off Script bonus features were fairly humorous, too. It was clear while watching the movie that some scenes were completely improvised, and the Off Script bonus feature confirmed that suspicion. Paul Reiser had a small role, and I hadn't seen him in anything in quite some time. It's worth the 2 hours.

Re: movies
It’s really dumb when people get on actors’ cases for bad movies. Even bad performances can be a director or editors’ doing. Good performances too.Jocephus wrote:

Great! I saw NYT "most influential" for the 10s and it was underwhelming. Influential must mean influencing movies to be hackneyed, formulaicThe Third Man wrote:Hello again, all.
