He's been working on this movie forever, so I'm glad to see it's finally going to be released. It sounds a lot like some sort of scientologist version of Elmer Gantry. As younger directors go, PTA is my favorite and probably the best (i.e. people who haven't been working as long as Scorsese or the Coens).

Six films? What am I missing?

Anyway, we should be using OPS here. PTA is batting 1.000, but Hard Eight is like a bunt single. Punch Drunk Love is a ground-rule double, and TWBB, Boogie Nights and Magnolia are all no-doubt homers. So that's a 3.000 OPS.

Boogie Nights was a grand slam. Magnolia was an inside the park HR where all 3 OF's fell down, so it was really more like a double with a 2 base error.
