Zeus is a lawyer. He knows that being born to unfit parents infringes on the rights of the baby person.

Story I saw in our Sunday paper.

Cake shop owner will continue to reject orders for same-sex weddings

Quote:
Two weeks ago, David Mullins and Charlie Craig didn't think much would come from the Facebook post they wrote condemning a Lakewood bakery that refused to make a cake for their same-sex wedding reception.

But, as word spread, their story sparked thousands to rally around the couple — and around Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, who turned the two away for religious reasons.

Quote:
Phillips said he received more negative phone calls in the first few days but that most people who have come in or called recently share messages of support.

"When I do a cake for a first birthday party, I imagine the family gathered around taking pictures and laughing. When I do a graduation cake, I think of all the hard work it took to get them there," Phillips said. "I feel like I'm part of the celebration, and I can't take part in that kind of celebration (a same-sex wedding)."

Despite the protest, Phillips said he doesn't plan on lifting his ban.

"I'm not going to change my business because of a petition," Phillips said. "I'm just going to do the best I can do to honor Jesus Christ."

So I know this 21 y/o young woman. Really a nice, good hearted kid. Recently began dating a female for the first time. Innocent enough to feel it's just about a person not a gender. I think she'll learn differently but whatever. She is her grandmother's favorite grandchild by a long shot.
When she came home to visit and brought her gf with her, the grandmother framed a picture of her with her old boyfriend and placed it in a prominent place. Went to Chik Fil A on anti-gay day. Gave her a dvd- or maybe cd- of the bible as read by Dr McDreamy and Gary Oldman etc.

Now that is good old fashioned Christian love.

My grandma pulls [expletive] like this when one of her grand kids has an edgy haircut or somebody shows up with a tattoo or piercing. A big reason why my cousin hasn't come out.

I have no problem with the young woman living her life, and I have no problem with Grandma living hers. I don't/won't criticize either for their "love"; whether it be Christian or otherwise. I certainly won't call either a bigot for disagreeing with homosexuality or Christianity.

Why can't people just live their lives and shut the [expletive] up about how others live theirs?

One of my cousins came out about 6 months ago on facebook and she started bringing her fiancee to family functions.

Absolutely nobody gives a [expletive] either way. I sure don't. But I wondered how my large family would react. Nobody cares. at. all.

That pleases me, a lot.
