Most excited I've been over a "new" show in a while. A little worried the plot mechanism is going to end up seeming convoluted, but at least through the first 9 episodes they made a smart move to ignore it as much as possible. It's amazing how many good shows there are and that they're able to find enough good actors.
I assumed it was going to be a movie or miniseries, just due to the premise and the cast.Michael wrote:I thought The Young Pope was fantastic. The show is absurd in the best way possible. "Evil pope" is a role Jude Law was made to play. His opening speech and the meeting with his adviser were hilarious. It's likely the show won't be able to sustain itself, but for me the opener delivered the goods in a big way.
