I had forgotten how good the guy who plays Farnum is on Deadwood (also Larry from Newhart and the Blade Runner toy maker). Rewatching because I lost my HBO after the 1st season way back when it was on.
My absolute favorite part so far (i'd embed but I don't think timestamp URLS work here)
https://youtu.be/w0u_9XuoQkA?t=396 - Also, NSFW due to language
Even when he's in the background, he's constantly doing great little things. Don't know if he was ever nominated for this, but he should have been.

They say acting is about "choices" and that guy makes so many incredible and hilarious choices with that character. I just watched the epidode after Al passes the kidney stone and spit out my drink laughing when EB raises his arms triumphantly leaving the room.ghostrunner wrote:I had forgotten how good the guy who plays Farnum is on Deadwood (also Larry from Newhart and the Blade Runner toy maker). Ha! I am watching Deadwood for the first time right now. On season 2. Farnum is a fantastic actor.

For actors that show had to be the best gig ever. Every episode they get at least one Shakespearean soliloquy filled with expletives that they get to deliver while chewing scenery.

Definitely interested in the show and this casting choice. IG88 is a weird droid to begin with. Would assume they're going to make him funny, like most things Waititi is involved in.Jocephus wrote:i guess star wars is getting a tv show, the mandalorian. i'm sure i won't watch but look at the cast

IG88 rules!
i remember reading this many times as a youth
and he was a boss in Shadows of the Empire (another fun book too)
but if waititi is anywhere as entertaining as he was as korg, it should be good
