I hear you. Hell, I noticed a major difference when I switched from my old iPhone 3.5" screen to a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket 4.5" screen. I promptly hated the Android phone and bought the new iPhone 4S.

I do own a 10" Acer Iconia A500 tablet, and yeah - the difference in playing the same game on a 3.5" screen versus a 10" tablet is night and day.

EDIT: And unfortunately, working nights in a nuclear plant doesn't lend itself very well to idle time. I'm the only guy in my building other than a janitor or two (my boss is working in our war room with a bunch of other big wigs), but my boss is constantly calling me with tasks to do and fire drills for emergent issues that I have to resolve. So no dorking out on my phone for me.

Although I am able to put the Cardinals game on my 2nd monitor and watch the game while I work, which is nice.

0140: I went into our break room to get some food out of the fridge, and saw some ants crawling on the floor. When I went to our storage closet to get the ant spray, I actually ran into a live human being!

Less than 4 hours until the day shift arrives.

0147: Got a call from QA asking about some ASME requried documentation for a butterfly valve that they want to put in a work order.

Who wants to be a nuclear engineer? I promise it's very fun and rewarding...

Day 1 down. 44 more to go.

Day 6, 0315: I evaluated a bunch of CO2 relief valves and determined they were faulty. They have been scrapped from inventory.

The world remains safe.

Day 35, 0405: I just ate an ice cream sandwich. It was quite tasty.

In NY, bars can't legally open and begin serving alcohol until 8:00am, but fortunately there are a couple special ones for the outage workers that open up early for us at 5:45am. An hour and a half until I leave to go drink a few beers before I go home and go to bed.

Day 62, 0340: The outage is technically over, and my last shift on nights is tomorrow night! Woohoo!

280,000 man-hours of work completed in a little over 59 days. Unreal.
