Least Objectionable: I'd say Romney, if he would quit acting like the Mass. health care system isn't like the new federal system. It would be easy for him to make it a state vs. Federal issue, but instead tries to just make them not seem similar.

The health care deal really isn't too objectionable to anybody. Its just fodder for Obama/liberal-hate. (otherwise the base would have objected to prescription drug bill). And as you say - he will play it off as states' rights.

My guess is "the base" still objects to his religion -even with the recent ad blitz to mainstream it.

But my personal objections to Romney 1) a wall street schmuck. and 2) his 2008 primary concession speech
Quote:
In the face of evil in radical jihad, and given the inevitable military ambitions of China, we must act to rebuild our military might, raise military spending to 4 percent of our GDP, purchase the most modern armament, reshape our fighting forces for the asymmetric demands we now face, and give the veterans the care they deserve.
Soon the face of liberalism in America will have a new name, whether it's Barack or Hillary...Barack and Hillary have made their intentions clear regarding Iraq and the war on terror. They would retreat, declare defeat, and the consequence of that would be devastating. It would mean attacks on America, launched from safe havens that would make Afghanistan under the Taliban look like child's play. About this, I have no doubt.

Now, I disagree with Senator McCain on a number of issues, as you know. But I agree with him -- (cheers) -- but I agree with him on doing whatever it takes to be successful in Iraq, on finding and executing Osama bin Laden...
Frankly, in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror

insert cuckoo smilie here.

Did Bachmann really say that? Good lord. Palin may have competition as my favorite.

Huntsman or Romney seem the least objectionable to me. Ron Paul is great in debates and has some refreshing things to say about war and foreign policy but when you get down to it his fundamental views on government are at worst nutty and at best completely unrealistic. The rest of them are a gaggle of misfits, has-beens, wannabes, and morons.

Romney is probably the least objectionable to the masses. However, to me, he has that Big Business Slimeball vibe about him. And that is the biggest problem with government right now; how beholden they are to mega-corp dollars instead of keeping the people who voted for them in mind.

Oh, it's gonna be good.

Ron Paul? Yeah, it's really good for some of the Libertarian stuff to get heard but when you get down to it, nutso.

Have you guys seen this Pro Libertarian video?

Oh yeah. She also said that the founding fathers "worked tirelessly" to end slavery.

Presidential campaign season is interminable. Absolutely mind numbing. The general election isn't for another year and freaking half. Blah.

then do it

the US has considerable downsides to it, but to me it's still a [expletive] awesome country to live in (got drunk last week within a stone's throw from where the Declaration of Independence was signed and am feeling patriotic)
