the lineup Columbia MO's roots n blues bbq thing next weekend is, as the kids say, lit.
....but have to monitor the kid going to HS homecoming situation that weekend. maybe DBT next Tues. or the Sunday lineup at the roots blues -that still has Ryan Adams, John Prine, and some of my girlfriends.

Chump Change must be a local band. This is their 5th year in a row.Freed Roger wrote:http://rootsnbluesnbbq.com/artists/#716

Emmylou Harris is a good listen. I caught her with Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller a few years back.
Gary Clark, Jr. should be a good show.

my favorite band, primus, released a new album on friday - "the desaturating seven". i believe its a bit of a "concept album"...the music is based on a fantasy book les claypool would read his kids.
it features the return of drummer tim "herb" alexander, who is one of my favorites. i placed my order and it should arrive next week.

I saw that. Brother in law has seen quite a few shows at that venue and says it’s great. But damn.Freed Roger wrote:Was interested in seeing Steve Earle in Steeleville MO -but $150 just for the concert?
