This thread makes me miss eating lunch in St. Louis.

My vote would still be BCD, and it is the one place I try to hit each time I pass through. But I do miss some of the spicy options at Legrand's. I don't think 7th Street has been open for years, but their philly cheesesteak and meatball subs were great.

Damn it. I want a meatball sub now.

Did you mean 9th St? I went the other day. Different owner since '09 though.

Yeah, 9th Street. That's more like it. So they're still open then? I thought I had tried to go there a couple years ago and they had closed. But my memory is terrible.

No Vinnies for me yet. So many sandwiches, so little time.

Gioia's Deli wins some sort of James Beard award

Been there once. It was good. But wasn't moved to go back there over other places.

As we say down at Protzel's Deli, when my buddy tries to order pastrami on white bread, "oy vey!"
