I thought I ordered jugo de naranja in Mexico but the waitress brought an orange Crush and I forgot how to say. "that isn't what I ordered" from the learn Spanish tape.

this has nothing to do with the thread title, but starting a thread about st. louis restaurants seems too narrow a focus.

Hooked Seafood Bar on Olive in Olivette serves asian and cajun seafood. It is really good. I tried oxtails for the first time and the table next to me was served a heaping plate of fish heads (which actually looked really good). They have louisiana hot sauce and sriracha. Crab legs, vietnamese soups, awesome calimari and seafood po boys. It was really reasonable and really good.

Lulu's seafood down the street is better, but way more expensive, imo.

I didn't know oxtails were seafood.

they aren't obviously, thus the asian influence. at least - I assume. you'd know more about asian influence than me.

Really enjoyed breakfast at the little place called Sweet Art's on our inaugaral visit.

http://sweetartstl.com/index2.php?v=v1

Mainly bakery and coffee, but has several breakfast items on weekends. Not a mega breakfast place, but we had an excellent breakfast. Vegan -so no bacon, but you won't go hungry here (enroute -stopped by and got some G&W jerky for my meat fix).

This place getting crowded with bourgeois foodies is probable. Sorry to Drifter and locals

Huge fan. They made our wedding cakes. Great people. Incredible food despite being a veggie place. One major downside is that they keep changing hours. Too limited.
