Basically, no need to use checks anymore. Me likey. Just put in how much money you want to give someone and email them or text them, they put in their account info and wala, done. No going to the bank, writing out checks and wondering when they'll be cashed. Just email them. Boom.

I write a check every month for rent. Everything else is pretty much online. I bank at Chase and their app allows you to take pictures of checks to deposit them. I did it yesterday for three checks, one from my uncle. one rebate for cat litter, and one reimbursement from a non -profit. On Saturday, no bank visit needed.

I still write several checks. Babysitters get a check. Several of the local business I have an account at I pay monthly by check. Local restaurant that doesn't take credit cards. Livestock and equipment purchases. Quite a few to people that I do business with.

I write them to the babysitter once a week, church every now and then, rent once a month. Just popmoneying the babysitter should get rid of over half them.

I almost never write checks, either. I did write one last week to a guy who worked on my basement, but I couldn't tell you when the last one was before that.
