How much land do you have, Ghost? I'd consider letting some of it go somewhat native.
About .6 acres. My wife has put in several large plant beds and trees, which has reduced the space that needs mowing but has resulted in much more time spent weed trimming. I also live in a corner so I've got fairly steep ditches on two sides that are a pain in the ass to mow or weed-eat.

There's a section I'd like to just let go with some native stuff, but my wife has already put beds in over there. We'll see.

Installing a 1' high x 45' long & 1-2' high x 35' long stone retaining walls (both with sharp & gentle curves, so some block splitting was necessary) is pretty manly to me.

320 pounds is hyperbole, right? Tell me it is. Please.
2 x 160#=320#

They're big boys.

My bad for making it seem like I had a Kraken-sized pooch.

Yep, I'm not sure if anyone on Manhattan has or could operate a lawn mower or weed whacker other than park employees.

Just mowed the grass for the first time this year....was starting to look like Da Nang 1967. Anyone else started mowing? I noticed I was in the first in my neighborhood so I am now looking down in disdain on all my neighbors.
