It's weird that the defendant can just say, oh, i'm going to lose, [expletive] it, trial by battle then. Also, why didn't he just do this in the first place and get a badass to fight for him? also, dragons!

You have to have a champion that is willing to fight for you vs whoever your opponent is or selects. Tywin can afford the best champions.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:It's weird that the defendant can just say, oh, i'm going to lose, [expletive] it, trial by battle then. Also, if you do trial by combat, even with a champion, it's win or die. There's no deal, there's no taking the black and going to the wall.

Is Tywin coming down on Tyrion or is Cersei? I kind of got the feeling that Tywin is just....whatever. He doesn't want Tyrion to die. But, appeasing Cersei is more important than anything else....

More good stuff about the trial and trial by combat. Spoiler'd for size, not plot spoilers. You can safely read.AWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote:Is Tywin coming down on Tyrion or is Cersei? That's awesome. Thanks for sharing that. I laughed heartily at this:
(technically, my friend spoiled all of this for me and told me who it's going to be but I ain't sayin' nothin')
The dynamics of this thing- who chooses who to fight- are fascinating. Does it have to be Jaime who represents the crown? What would happen if Tyrion choose Jaime? Would Jaime even do it? Wouldn't that force Tywin to call it off since he wouldn't want to risk his family name? Can Tyrion call on everyone's favorite anti-Lannisterite, Oberyn Martell?I imagine that if Theon of House Greyjoy demanded a trial from Roose Bolton the response would be something like “Hahaha,” and then they’d cut off one of his ass cheeks.

You complain about book readers lording knowledge over tv viewers and the first time you have a little inside info, you come in and act like a book reader. I love it! I know everything that's going to happen! Ha ha ha!
There were some good looking naked women this week. I miss Ros. Maybe Ros has an identical twin sister somewhere in Westeros.
Also, Dinklage needs to win the Emmy.
