So, the water lines were lead in the poor areas and pvc in the affluent areas? Color me confused.

the Flint saga is an awful failure any way you slice it. Of course it's not all poor people affected. But once again the people that are most powerless and vulnerable bear the brunt. Govt and society should learn from this, instead of acting like we are god damn Bangledesh.

The poor probably live I the older parts of town while the rich in nice new subdivisions.

That may be truer than you think.

I don't know if you've read any of the released internal commentary of state officials discussing the crisis, but it's clear they see Flint residents' complaints as irrelevant whining to be dismissed. They nominally switched the water source for a trivial cost savings but actually more likely to starve Detroit of revenue as part of efforts to steer the outcome the crisis there. It's a truly gross episode.
