Why is it when you turn 75 sending that big tin thing with cheese, caramel, and regular corn for a Christmas gift becomes the norm?

I was a Cub Scout so I peddled that stuff on the reg for years.

I just feel like no matter what size I get, it always takes twice as long to eat as it should.

I do like to get kettle corn about once a year.

Background:
[SHOW]
The Eiffel Tower debuted at the 1889 World's Fair. It was cool for what it was at the time. The big thing it has going for it is obviously its height (984'). However.....The original Ferris Wheel debuted at the next World's Fair in Chicago in 1893. It was much shorter at 264 feet but was still massive. It had 36 cars that could hold 60 people each (2,160 people total). The Ferris Wheel was specifically designed to be a stark contrast with the Eiffel Tower. The idea is that France is a static, hoity toity bunch of elitists in a tower, and Chicago is a massive, churning engine of motion, progress and industry. If that original, monstrous Ferris Wheel had been left in place and preserved on the Chicago lakefront, it *might* be as iconic a symbol of our country as the Eiffel Tower is to France.

Also, prior to this time Paris was recognized literally for centuries as one of the premier cities on the planet in terms of science, the arts, progress, etc. Chicago, if it was recognized at all, was mainly recognized for having tons of slaughterhouses, trains and for being really noisy and smelly. Having the World's Fair in Chicago immediately after having it in Paris elevated Chicago's status immensely. People started to view Chicago as a world-class city after that. We used to do big things in this country.
I cannot believe whoever wrote this has been to both the Eiffel Tower and on a Ferris wheel.
It's not about what they are like to ride but what they symbolize.

Don't know if I agree with the first part...it's the only kind of pan I ever want to use.
