Re: RIP David Crosby
RIP indeed. He really struggled with his addictions. Surprised he made it to 80 frankly.
All those early rock / folk boomer legends are 80 now. It'll probably be every other week until they are all gone.
My favorite David Crosby tune that I still sing along as loud as I can (except - I did cut my hair)

Damn! Liked him, the person, more than I liked his music. Always fun to hear him talk. Even as recently as a couple months ago I heard him on NPR and thought he sounded great. Loved his enthusiasm.

He was quite the character.
He was a terrific singer and musician. I didn't care for a lot of his music, but I see why others liked it.
His Twitter account, evidently, was quite an accomplishment, too.

Re: RIP David Crosby
His tweets were fun - definitely spoke his mind. Between his time with The Byrds and CSN&(sometimes)Y, he was an important part of the music of my youth. CSN came out in my sophomore year, Deja Vu in junior year. I’m sure we’ll be losing a lot of that extraordinary generation of rock musicians in the next few years.
We saw CSN at Red Rocks in 2012 - David’s son played keyboard. I’m generally disappointed when these old bands go on tour, but they were still pretty good (the venue could’ve played a part in my assessment).

Re: RIP David Crosby
One of my first concerts was CSN (sans Y, unfortunately) at the Muny in 1990. Dave Mason came out and played a couple songs with them - “For What It’s Worth” and “Wooden Ships,” if I remember correctly. It was awesome. Love Crosby - The Byrds (“Eight Miles High” still epitomizes psychedelic rock to me), CSN +/- Y, and solo - “If I Could Only Remember My Name” is an absolute banger. Not at all surprised at his passing at a decently old age what, 30 years after a liver transplant? But I will miss him and always enjoy his music.

CSN(Y) is one of my favorite bands of all time. That entire genre is brilliant.
