RIP Albert Finney

Albert Finney: British actor dies aged 82
Oscar-nominated British actor Albert Finney has died aged 82 after a short illness.

He was a five-time Oscar nominee who began his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company before making his mark in film.

His big film break came as "angry young man" Arthur Seaton in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.

He went on to star in Tom Jones, as Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express, Erin Brockovich and Skyfall.

The first thing I ever remember seeing him in was the musical Scrooge from the 1970s.

No dialogue and he absolutely owns this scene.

Bah, Humbug!

He'll always be Scrooge in my family.

I guess the good news is I'll be able to remember who is Albert Finney and who is Brian Cox going forward.

Criminally underrated Coen Bros movie, wonderful performance. When he blows off Jon Polito in the opening scene he's about as cool as it's possible for a 60 year old to be in a movie.
