Retirement is just months away. Looks like we have a lot of research to do regarding travel logistics.

I traveled to Baltimore. While catching up with a former colleague, I had crab cake for lunch one day, and the colleague made fun of my dull tastes. I've been trying to remember why I never told this former colleague to [expletive] off.

I love the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore. And Camden is fun except for all the Orioles fans.

Planning a trip in the spring with my GF. Her best friend is taking family to Scotland for her 50th birthday. We're going to go with them for the first leg of their trip and stay in Edinburgh. Then we're going to break from the pack and hit a bunch of cities in mainland Europe. The full list looks like this:

Edinburgh
Brussels, BLG (with day trips to Ghent & Bruges)
Cologne, GRM
Rothenburg od der Tauber, GRM
Munich, GRM
Fussen, GRM
Strasbourgh, FRN
Colmar, FRN
Angers, FRN
Paris, FRN

We'll fly into Brussels, then rent a car when we're heading to Germany and drive during our week there. Then return the car when we get to the first city in France. My GF lived there for a while in college so she is fluent and the train situation seems to be much more convenient for the cities we're stopping in.

This is going to be an EPIC 2 1/2 weeks. It's a lot of little trips between cities but we picked places that are short trips (with the exception of Comar to Angers, but by train it's not terrible). I am beyond excited.

We had a patient today who said she traveled everywhere, all over the world. 89 years old, she wasn’t too acute and we had a delay waiting for the ambulance so i decided to ask about her travels.
Me: Have you been to Asia?
Her: No
Me: :-?

Radbird wrote:I want to go to India. I deal with a lot of counties at work and India is by far the most challenging. And frankly frustrating. It’s often hard to understand their approach and logic in what they present to me - just a foreign thought process (pun not intended). I wish I could go there on business now, the thought being that working with the team in person would help me understand and end up benefiting both of us. That likely won’t happen but I still want to go eventually to experience a totally different culture and society.
been there countless times...if you figure them out, please do let me know. After 20 year's travelling there, I still am at a loss.
