How do you sit in a booth on date night?

Goofy question. It's date night and you and your best guy/gal are out at dinner and you are being seated in a booth. Do you sit side by side or across from each other?

Both. Most often across. Sometimes start across (like the American i am) then move next to her. Older gals (mine anyway) like a little flirtiness too.

Always looks strange to me when two people sit side by side and the other side is empty but do what you want to do I always say.

Have you ever been to Europe? The outdoor cafe seating all (mostly?) faces the streetscape.


Maybe it was just France but i believe Espana as well.
