I saw a thing with Clapton a few years ago and it's him and his two buddies sitting at the dinner table talking. One of his buddy goes "quit mucking about Eric." Eric looks confused and his buddy goes "no one wants to hear that slow version of Layla." lol Which I completely agree with.

They're not aging well. Yellow Ledbetter is the only song of theirs I have in Spotify.

I got way too into ska in the 90s, but my favorite was always St. Louis' own MU330. Speaking of albums that need no revisiting and songs that don't age well, their big "hit," Hoosier Love, does not age well! Today it reads as condescending and classist. Ooh two white trash kids love each other and drink cheap beer at Dairy Queen! How worthy of contempt! Anyway, that song is catchy as hell.

Anyway, speaking of the St. Louis ska scene and albums from my youth that actually DO age well, Isaac Green and the Skalars were really good, mainly because of their singer, Jessica, who obvs I had a huge crush on.

This fits somewhere between this thread and the other thread.

The beats on Hello Nasty are some of my favorite anywhere. But the rapping is lame and really repetitive: the same cadence over and over again. One guy, one guy, ALL THREE GUYS.
