Re: TV help b/w next GRB Tourney
Ten off the top of my head without any particular research would be:
Star Trek TNG Seasons 3-4
Deadwood Seasons 1-2
Parks and Recreation Season 5
Suits Season 1
Boston Legal Season 1
Doc Martin Season 1
Monk Season 1
The Good Doctor Season 1
I'd also like the option of adding another ten seasons and eliminating the ten seasons that someone with less money than me chose.

Aren't seasons of 80s cartoons like 55 episodes long? I'm going to nominate a bunch of those just so everyone has to watch them, for the integrity of the tournament.
I formally nominate this:
I formally nominate this:
Start scheduling time off from work. 70 episodes. Your SOs are going to be frustrated and annoyed.Season 1 comprises 65 episodes - a standard number for animated series at the time, as it allowed the series to be shown every weekday for thirteen weeks (one full broadcast season). In 1986, the series returned for a TV movie, "ThunderCats - Ho!", which was subsequently aired as five separate episodes worked into the continuing rerun rotation of Season 1.

Entourage S1
Chernobyl (is it too small of a series?)
Sopranos S2
The West Wing (all of it, but particularly the first 3 seasons)
Madam Secretary (S1)

That's probably the worst season of Justified, if only because the actors hadn't settled in to the characters yet. It's also episodic and not a continuing storyline, which was the case from 2 onward. A few good episodes but very uneven.lukethedrifter wrote:I see Justified (based on the 1st season) as a very 70s style show in the vein of McCloud, Columbo, Rockford Files. Entertaining but dated with some pretty caricatured roles.mikechamp wrote:There's a season of "Justified" that needs to be in this conversation. I'm just not sure which one it should be.
I'll also nominate the 1st season of "Mr. Robot".
I'd put Season 3 on this list instead of Season 2, but most people would probably say Season 2 is the better one. It's a better story than Season 3, but not as funny and I think the assortment of characters and performances in the 3rd season are unbeatable.

But you have to pick a season.
