That episode of It's Always Sunny where Charlie handles the health inspection.

EDIT: "Charlie Work"

Charlie Work is masterful. I'll also nominate whichever season contains The Nightman Cometh, because that is a musical for the ages.

The one where Mac comes out of the closet with the arbitrator is pretty awesome.
Anything with the McPoyles is great.
There’s a really awesome one where they have to keep dancing or lose.

Charlie Work is #1

Flowers for Charlie is #2

Who Pooped the Bed? is #3

Dennis is the key to Sunny though. Not Charlie.

I don't know what constitutes the key, but Frank is the answer to whatever the question is. Assuming the question is "who is the straw that stirs the drink?" To which the answer is, of course, Frank.

Dennis is the axis. He's the beefy guy Mac wants to sleep with. And the waitress wanted more than Charlie. He's the primary antagonist to his sister. He's the guy who bosses Charlie around the most. Usually when the gang take sides Dennis is on his own or is scrambling to find an ally, whereas Mac and Charlie are often together on stuff while Dennis is solo. It all hinges on Dennis. First episode of last season when Dennis was not in til the last moment was the worst ep in the series. The show relies on him.

Happy Endings S2 (S3 also great but S2 is where 100% of the eps click)
Better off Ted S2 (I have to have the lie detector episode)
The Mole S1 (before the internet and its obsessiveness outsmarted the producers)
Veronica Mars S1 (S2 is a decent shout but this one definitely hit its stride immediately)
Always Sunny S3 (have to have the Gang Sets Sweet Dee on Fire, honorable mention to S4 with the Gas Crisis)
30 Rock S3 (Gavin Volure, HS reunion, both Hayek and Hamm's first run)
Kimmy Schmidt S1 (more perfect Fey/Carlock work, S2+ ran out of steam to various degrees)

There's a couple other shows that I can't necessarily pin down the clear best season too(P&R, Psych, Bob's Burgers)

Star Trek TNG The Inner Light.

I dunno how to define perfect but wanted to endorse this selection.

Going through the wiki page of eps, best season of Sunny is prob S4. You get Mac and Charlie Die, Nightman, and ...Gas Crisis.

I forgot about Sweet Dee Is Dating A Retarded Person. That one might be my favorite.
