Oh, thank god. I'd hate to drop back to being an everyday unicorn.

My self-esteem is intact. Thanks, Michael.
You, sir, are no every day unicorn. That has to be earned.

Can't you just reduce the length of the Segue thread like is done with the Superhappyfun thread? Both threads are the same in that you can pick up anywhere and not miss the jist of the thread.

Also, I know nothing about these things, but would deleting threads that had less than say 10 replies be helpful? I can't imagine any threads reached "epic" status that didn't get past page one.

I think if you delete the few St. Louis Blues threads I'd have about 37 posts.

I think everyday unicorn needs to be an actual rank.

Folks, if you don't want to see certain threads go away, just nominate them for the archives.

I think it would be interesting to compile statistics on historical threads: median thread length, lifetime, average views per post, threadkillers, notable outliers, etc. Don't let this wealth of data go to waste!

It would be interesting, but I don't have the tools to do it. Besides, the data got dirty once we switched to phpbb 3.0 because I accidentally deleted a lot of threads.
