IMO, the ignore feature is for unstable boards that can't get along. Fine for public forums with a bunch of trash like CardsTalk. I'm not sure that it's necessary for a site like this. It's mere presence is a silly way to escalate bickering.
(eel free to ignore this post once the feature is implemented.)
