All Good Things Must Come to an End (Aug 12th)

Post by Michael »

This is something I've been thinking about for awhile and with a heavy heart I've decided it's time. Effective Friday, August 12th @ 10:30 PM CT GRB will cease operations. I want to thank everyone for being a part of this community for the last 10 years. I can honestly say GRB is been one of the best things that's ever happened to me and getting to know many of you on a personal level was one best parts of it. I'll always cherish those memories.

I also want to give a special thank you to moderators (past and present). Their selfless hard work and dedication to this message board is a big reason for its success.

I sincerely wish everyone the best in their future endeavors. Be good to each other.

-Michael

Michael,

Thank you for building and maintaining such a great forum for 10 years on your own dime, it is truly appreciated. It has been an absolute blast to know you and everyone else on GRB. I have a lot of fond memories and made some great friends. I hope you and everyone else find great joy in your lives.

Where am I going to get my baseball fix now?

:(

More seriously though, thanks for doing everything on this. Overall this place has been a great site to come to for the past decade just to unwind and relax and hangout with folks who all shared one common interest. Like any other family, we often didn't get along on other things (cough cough politics). That was fine, though, because no matter what, we'll always have baseball to fall back on.

I am very saddened by this news and will miss this place. :(

Thank you Michael (and mods) for a wonderful alternative to Cards Talk. Bless all you wonderful people.

I will now have to find another way to waste time at work!

Stunned, but truly appreciative. It's no exaggeration to say I spent more time on GRB than any other website. I may actually have to be a productive member of society.
