It appears the board has been hit by a bot named Sharonnab.

I remember when I was a mod, there were odd occasions where I'd think "is this... something I should do something about?"

This is in no way related to the tv and movie threads, just for the record.

Are we really gaining the occasional user who joins a little after midnight and fires off 4 or 5 posts in the span of a minute, or are the bots getting way more sophisticated? Because even though it seems fishy, some of these rapid fire posts kind of make sense in the thread they're posted.

I don't think we've gained more than 1-2 real members in the last few years.

They do fit in the threads because they are literally copying a sentence or so from posts on the first page or two of the thread. Sneaky!
