Rant: Can't find any of my posts

Post by jim »

This is frustrating. I can't find [expletive] in here. People respond so fast I post a question and walk away for an hour and it's buried 40 pages back and I can't tell if people answered. Once yesterday I found hints that it had been addresed .. i.e. posts that sounded like responses to a response that might have been made to me. Sort of like hints of the Higgs Boson .. but I never found the damn thing.

If you click your profile it will show a thing that says Search User's Posts. Not sure if that's what you are getting at, but it might be.

Or, if necessary, go to Google and search under "GatewayRedbirds.com" + a key term in your post. It should come up that way.

It shows my posts when I do that Leroy, but it just shows the thread and not the actual post. No help. I know (usually) what thread I posted in.

If you click on the thing that says 'Post Topic' it goes right to your post. Right above it is a 'Topic' thing that goes to the beginning of the thread.

It should be listed by post, though the headings of each entry give the thread name. Are you prosilver or subsilver?

It should work with either. In subsilver, when you look at the results from "Search user's posts", there are two headings. The first, labeled "Topic: blah blah blah" just takes you to the thread. But just below that, there is another heading that says "Post subject: blah blah blah". If you click on this second heading, you'll go to the individual posts.

Edit: though prosilver is in every way superior

Maybe I'm blind but I don't see it. I see headings of Topics/Author/Replies/Views/Last Post. My first result is:

Pujols Signs with Angels/ManEatingTarp/360/2557/....

Under "Pujols Signs with Angels" is see:
[Go to page: 1 ... 35,36,37]
in Baseball Talk

Of to the left is an icon for Unread Posts.

That's it.
