Skip Bayless - a companion thread to Woody Paige
TALENTLESS HACK!
Brian Kenny just had a painful segment with him talking about LeBron James and late game shots. Bayless has clearly just taken the "controversial" stance so he can be a loudmouth on TV while Kenny is all but banging his head against the desk while confronting Bayless with actual stats.
Bayless and Paige aren't just bad journalists, they're actually bad for sports. Same with Cowherd. These guys are waaaay too influential for dudes who will say anything just to get attention (or "stimulate conversation" as I'm sure they defend it). Some people will blindly believe them trusting that because they're on the TV (on SportsCenter, no less!) they're adequately prepared to pass of expert opinion backed up by facts.

I haven't watched any of those ESPN shows featuring these guys for probably a year now.
My life has improved considerably. Now if I could just stop watching MSNBC...

yeah, I won't subject myself to whatever that show is that has all the morons talking with time limits and points and stuff.
I only see Bayless and Paige when they appear on SportsCenter, which for whatever reason I'm still a relative slave to.

Skip decided Dallas was a better place to practice journalism than Chicago. That about says it all.

Good grief. Why did I leave ESPN on this morning? Skip Bayless is the most grating, idiotic personality in sports.

Once I watched a few episodes of 'Dream Job' or whatever it was called on ESPN, I realized that the people don't necessarily believe what they spout out, but just need to take one position or another and then defend it. I now think that's what they all do there. I could be wrong.
But that around the horn show...I can only watch for a couple of minutes.

Both of them are morons as far as sports knowledge, but at least Paige is slightly entertaining. He's quick to poke fun at himself and plays the "get off my lawn, you dang kids!" bit perfectly. Paige is one of the only thing's going for Around the Horn (which I know doesn't say much).
Skip Bayless is pretty obnoxious, granted.

I don't know the goofball sports media personalities very well, but the one that does stick out is Skip Bayless.
Anyway, he's going to Fox Sports and Aikman is not happy.

"I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals," Aikman said, "none of which applies to Skip Bayless.
