My Aunt passed away this morning - she is 2 years younger than my Mother who is the oldest living sibling. Complication's from a cancerous tumor in her throat. Was doing better after being in intensive care - they had a breathing tube in her. They removed it and when they wanted to put it back in she wouldn't let them. She died about an hour later.

Cancer [expletive] sucks.

The price for last minute airline tickets to St. Louis suck too...

Sorry to hear that Wart. Can you get a bereavement fare?

I found a round trip for $480 on Travelocity budget - basically, you buy the ticket and then they tell you the flight times, connections and the Airlines after you pay- it was 50% less than knowing. So, now I fly out of PHX to Minneapolis, have an hour and a half layover - and then get in to St, Louis at 10:00 tomorrow night - not really all that bad considering a number of the other flights had multiple stops and cost quite a bit more.

My father has rather advanced stomach and esophogeal cancer. I'm heading to St. Louis to be with him later this week. I should know more about prognosis after some meetings on Friday.

Zeus, if at some point you need to clear your mind with a beer or three, hit me up on messenger. If I am not already committed, I love to meet up. I know it'll be a busy time but sometimes it helps to step away from it for a little while.

I hate seeing this thread bumped.

Sorry to hear that zeus. Try to be there with him as much as you can. It will help both him and you through this difficult time.
