I've wanted to post some pictures, but the website has been having some problems.

My first picture of Marcella at my apartment, sitting on the pillow on my bed.

Marcella shows me that I need to remember that kittens are more inquisitive than adult cats, I moved the CPAP hose and the cords so she wouldn't play with them.

Marcella learns how to drink from the pet fountain. She has also demonstrated that she knows how to use a litter box, which is very good.

I forgot how rambunctious kittens could be.

Cute. Looks like a kitten I had back in the day named Harvey.

My MIL found a kitten, probably about 3 weeks old and of course my wife immediately agreed to take it. Which is fine, but the thing is very young. We got some forumal and fed it and what not yesterday. Seemed happy.

Then, my MIL found the mommy cat and a couple more kittens.

My thoughts were that we should return the kitten to it's mother but my wife seems to think we should adopt the mother and all the kittens...

Two very different outcomes here.

My cousin’s friend decided to return Kitten 3, so now my cousin is keeping her and has decided to name her Miss Kitty (after the character in Gunsmoke). I took Marcella to the vet for the kitten equivalent of a physical and all the tests turned out fine.

I might have to rename my kitten Houdini. She’s figured out how to get out of the cat tent when it’s zipped up and the zipper ends are locked together with a combination lock. So I put together the cat cage I used for Sidney and Erik and locked her in there, and she figured out how to unlock the door. I’m going to try putting the combination lock on the cat cage and see if that will work.

We have a fridge in our basement that is our beer fridge and occasional overflow fridge (extra milk, etc). There is a shelf above the fridge where we keep liquor and wine. A couple of weeks ago, one of our cats jumped from the counter to the top of the fridge and then explored the shelf. He's small and likes to get into small spaces. In the process, he knocked over about 6 bottles of wine that then broke on the floor. Each bottle was probably $10-$20, so not SUPER expensive, but not 2-buck Chuck either. Fortunately, my whiskey and scotch were at the other end of the shelf.

I was already gone for the day and my wife was about to leave. She cleaned up a little, but didn't have time to do all of it, so she made sure the cats couldn't get back downstairs and track paw prints of wine around. I cleaned it up when I got home about 8 hours later. A lot of it had dried, but it mopped up easily enough. This was on square pieces of linoleum that were somehow adhered to the floor. The next evening, I went down to get a beer and noticed the corners of the linoleum where the wine sat for ~8 hours were unstuck from the floor and kind of curling up. So, I pried off the tiles so I can clean them and mop the floor again. I got some new adhesive, but I haven't gotten around to relaying the tile/linoleum squares.

This cat is super cute and cuddly, but I didn't like him much that day.
