He's much more blue collar than Mitt, he's less likely to make a mistake also. Only like 10 percent actually vote based on social issues. If Santorum wins, that won't be the case.

That's ironic given that '08 it was the opposite since McCain/Palin was winning the election before the economy became the main issue. Now Obama's camp is laying the groundwork to boost Santorum by poking social conservatives and helping Santorum possibly take the lead. If its Santorum, I see Obama destroying Santorum's ridiculous social stances.

I would hope so, but I know a lot of people who don't think they're that ridiculous. Which scares the [expletive] out of me. Why people who want less government want to control our personal lives is beyond me (yes, I understand. Because the Bible says so...).

Santorum is unelectable in a general election. Far too extremist and polarizing. Plus, his name is a reference to the byproduct of buttsex.

Any chance that Republicans actually don't want to win the 2012 election? Most of Obama's policies have been quite kind to those right-of-center economically. Not to the extreme right, but how many rational people actually exist on that fringe?

Is the only reason why Santorum is surging because he provides the only true alternative to Obama in the form of their social agendas?

The economy has been doing better, which has lessened the coverage on it and hurts Romney. That plus the contraceptive issues leads to two areas that favor Santorum. This is still Romney's to lose, if Santorum wins MI, its up for grabs.

I don't think the GOP is throwing the election compared to just being in choas and the more this comedy hour lasts, the more it helps the left.

The best thing this has done is hurt Romney's overall polling numbers in the general.

Will Rick Santorum be the Right's McGovern?

If so, that means Obama wins in a landslide, Joe Biden dies in office and Nancy Pelosi is appointed VP. Then Obama is impeached for breaking what are left of the campaign finance laws leading to the first woman President. Who loses her re-election to Gov. Scott Walker running as the ultimate Washington outsider. The Democratic party is announced as dead on the cover of Time magazine.

Walker's tenure proves to be highly ineffective as he can't get anything done. After pointing out the national malaise wearing a sweater vest on TV telling everyone to "Get their collective heads' out of their asses", he finds himself in a re-election campaign against the famous Republican actor-turned democrat politician Arnold Swartzenegger.

Swartzenegger then saves the country proclaiming it is the "Renaissance of America". Some grumble that is so European but most of the country just loves the accent and Swartzeneeger only adds to his legend after 2 full terms which usher in 2 decades of Democratic dominance of the country's politics.

I think that byproduct was named after Santorum, because Santorum ticked someone off...not just a coincidence. I could be wrong, though...I don't want to google it at work.

Yes. Dan Savage. Because of Santorum's very vocal support of anti-sodomy laws as a veiled way of making homosexuality illegal.
