Lie To Me
Has anyone watched this show, which only lasted a season? I watch it on NetFlix, and enjoy it. The scripts are a bit flawed, but the premise and characters are pretty interesting. Lightman reminds me of an equally brilliant but slightly less misanthropic version of House, minus the drug addiction. I'll be bummed when I watch the final episode in a few days...

I wasn't a big fan, but you'll be happy to know that it was on the air for three years.
The big difference between House and Lightman is that House is really funny. It makes him likable even though he's a jackass.

I have 13 episodes on NF, which I assumed was one season.haltz wrote:I wasn't a big fan, but you'll be happy to know that it was on the air for three years.

House was likable to a point, until he really went off the deep end. But Lightman's ex is much hotter and I got to see her in a bra last night.

I caught about five minutes and lost all respect for Tim Roth. Police/Navy/whatever-the-[expletive] procedurals need to go away and not come back.

This explanation is insufficient.cpebbles wrote:I caught about five minutes and lost all respect for Tim Roth. Police/Navy/[expletive] procedurals need to go away and not come back.

Poorly-written "genius" characters who practice some pseudoscientific [expletive] job and perform a third grader's interpretation of their job duties ("Detective, go raid this drug dealer's house!") make for terribly formulaic, ridiculous TV shows that contribute substantially to the dumbing down of American entertainment.

No. I actually enjoy the show, but now I feel like a half-wit after reading Pebbles' blistering condemnation of it.
But applying his criteria, 99% of all television is a worthless pile of stinking do-do.
