I have some friends who are REALLY into the Warrior Dash/Tough Mudder activities and have tried to get me into them. I'll stick to focusing on doing a sprint-tri. I'd be a huge chicken when it comes to the climbing stuff.

Climbing was the worst for me. My buddies are daredevils and just flew through that. If I had dry shoes it would have been ok. Mud is really really slick.

the tough mudder quiz asked me if i was afraid of fire and electrical shock. wtf?

Some of these races provide for some electrical stimulation during the race. It's enough to get your attention but not enough to really hurt you. Unless you have a weak heart, in which case it could kill you.

These races will be a thing of the past in 10 years as they keep trying to one up each other until someone gets killed and they find out the hard way that waiver form is basically good for wiping your ass with.

Right before the finish. Jumping over the fire was pretty lame, especially since the thing we just did was the hardest physical thing on the course, but now I know why they put it there - easy photo op.
