It really is pretty ridiculous:

Not a high bar set for standards there. The guy setting values (in conjunction to doubtless intel into selection rates) is one of the most successful players--odd.

Holy crap, I thought the name Justine Sacco looked familiar. She's the lady who made one stupid joke on Twitter that the Internet decided to hang her for. She's featured in Jon Ronson's rather interesting book So You've Been Publicly Shamed. Glad to see she's working again, but yikes, maybe not for these guys.

I'd love for these to all go away just because of the ads. Watching the playoffs, especially, it's either that, Viagra/Cialis or beer. Just what I want my kids seeing.

The Feds usually don't get involved with cases they can't win.

hiring a big time lawyer to fight whats probably going to be a long long battle.

how are they paying for said big time lawyer? by cutting into their ad budget (thank god).

I have noticed LESS bros on my TV during sports broadcasts so it's a win in itself.

I'll give you a big wet kiss, if these people aren't 90 percent DFS employees.

That report was interesting. That whole demonstration could be interpreted not as an attempt to avoid regulation, but at regulatory capture: to shape the terms of regulation to protect the firms already in the field. The people quoted at the end of the story all but admitted that.

aily fantasy company FanDuel announced Tuesday afternoon that it was no longer allowing customers located in New York to play its games.

"We maintain, unequivocally, that FanDuel has always complied with state and federal law," the company said in a statement. "We look forward to vindicating our position in court next week. We will press on and fight to ensure that your right to play fantasy sports is protected, not just in New York, but across the nation."

The move comes after New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Tuesday filed an injunction in New York Supreme Court to stop FanDuel and its competitor DraftKings from doing business with New York players, accusing the two companies of running an illegal sports gambling operation.

Fanduel: It's okay for employees to win money on DraftKings, just don't win too much:
