My [expletive] oven broke the day before Thanksgiving

Post by wart57 »

How the [expletive] am I going to cook that 18 lb bird and bake all my pies?

Repair guy will be out today - pray it is just a bad wire...

I heard a pop and all the electronic controls went dark.

The cook-top still comes on, but the oven won't.

Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite meal of all times.

Why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice in it too!

If the oven can't be fixed - I may buy this [expletive]...

Smoke it!

But, seriously, it is probably just the heating coil. Can you see it on the bottom? If so, see if it is broke. It's a quick/cheap fix to do it yourself...like changing a light bulb. Other than that, don't think there's much that can break on an oven...i hope.

I have one of those ovens with the digital readout - it won't come on, so I can't even turn the oven on.

It's gotta be some electrical circuit board or something that controls the digital readout, which controls the ovens power.
