Sandals and Flip Flops
I got a like-meh relationship with them. I've reached the stage where I don't care how things look - nasty toes and all. All about comfort. Over the hump with flip flops (they dont bother me any more)
Have a pair of Chacos and find them overrated. Skip the toe strap. I prefer my old closed toe keens even though they were about like shoes anyway.

I went thru flip flop conversion therapy. Now my feet feel hot and gross in shoes when carousing.

I was opposed to them for my first like 25 years. But it's hot as [expletive] here so there's no other way forward.

Never really like wearing them unless I am at the beach of course. And wearing them with socks is so 90s; so if you are going to wear them; go sockless bro.

I had a pair of Chacos that I loved. Blew out the left one while out walking in Cadaques, Spain last summer. Burned the crap out of my foot walking back to town to buy a cheapo replacement pair. After a bit of hemming and hawing Chacos replaced them for free. Hell yeah.

They're acceptable to wear at the pool. I hate them anywhere else.

At least it keeps the foot fetishists away. Don't have to worry about Rex Ryanlukethedrifter wrote:Look at my fungus.

Re: Sandals and Flip Flops
I can't stand flip flops. But I love sandals around the house, and will use walking sandals when it's hot as blazes outside.
I used to wear Keen sandals, which are great: enough arch support, they protected my toes, they could be easily washed, and the soles are virtually indestructible and last for years. Unfortunately, they no longer fit properly, and I had to shift to another brand and another kind of sandal.
