My grandpa died before I was born but I've always been told he wouldn't hire a man that didn't wear overalls or one that smoked a pipe. Spent to much time pulling his pants up or packing his pipe.

as an engineer, I think I have at least one conversation a week regarding a "belt and suspenders" approach. I think "belt, suspenders, and overalls" is now my term for very, very conservative design.

Consider this a warning to all of you.

I live in Austin, which is like an incubator for stupid hipster trends. In the last few weeks, I have seen several adult-ish men wearing what can only be described as cut-off, acid washed denim overalls.

Basically, this guy.

So beware. That's what's coming, fashion-wise.

If only they had cargo pockets, I'd be all in.

I'm not sure which is worse, the overall-cutoffs or those shoes.

Just ridiculous. You are supposed to wear these with no shirt and one of the buttons undone.

I dated this girl once in college who wore overalls with this plain white tightish shirt under them. It was awesome. One time at the library we were studying and for some reason she grabbed and licked her boob though the shirt and at the time it was probably the sluttiest thing I'd ever seen in person. It was awesome, we couldn't get back to the dorm quick enough.

Don't know why I thought I should share that.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you dated a Tim McGraw song.
