Sucks. Sorry man.

You really do have to assume people are going to steal your [expletive].

yep. part of me is too trusting, part of me has bad habits from growing up on a military base where people could be lax, part of me always thinks "oh it'd never happen to me..."

but this [expletive] always happens to me.

That sucks. Hope your insurance will cover it.

When I lived in the city and parked on the street I left my doors unlocked most of the time but came out to find my windows broken anyway one morning. It was infuriating.

I caught an employee stealing a bottle of wine yesterday. As someone who sympathizes with the plight of an alcoholic it was a tough conversation, but ultimately the outright theft made the decision on what to do about it.

We just replaced windows in our car too. The effers broke the weird triangular one behind the rear passenger window--for no reason but to be effers. That window is stupid expensive. Middle of the day. In the goddam driveway.

I do hope insurance covers the instrument.
