When was the last time you felt this bad about the Cards?
This is ridiculous.
I haven't felt this bad since '07.

I don't feel bad about them, I feel completely indifferent, which is fortunate considering I really don't have time these days to pay attention to a sports team that is going to suck for a good portion of the season.

3 losses while leading with 2 outs in the 9th in 8 games.
I'm dumbfounded just trying to think about rationalizing that fact.

Even better, 2 of the 3 losses were 2 outs and no one on..dmarx114 wrote:3 losses while leading with 2 outs in the 9th in 8 games.

What were the odds Franklin would have more blown saves on April 9th, than he had all of last season?

Much more likely than the fact that he would go all of last season only blowing two saves.dmarx114 wrote:What were the odds Franklin would have more blown saves on April 9th, than he had all of last season?
I'm at the point where I'd rather suffer some growing pains with Motte, Boggs, or whoever than have Franklin in there anymore.

I understand the frustration with Franklin, and I agree that he shouldn't be our closer..Cronos69 wrote:Much more likely than the fact that he would go all of last season only blowing two saves.dmarx114 wrote:What were the odds Franklin would have more blown saves on April 9th, than he had all of last season?

But tonight was NOT his fault...that ball is quite simply caught by every other major league CFer currently playing...

If not for Ryan Franklin (three blown saves in 8 games) the team would likely be 5-3 right now instead of 2-6.
And it isn't due to random error either way. Anyone watching this season can tell that Franklin is not fooling anyone. Hard-hit liners foul, few if any (I can't recall even one) swing-and-misses, etc.
Franklin should have retired.
