British announcers are better at all sports. Maybe it's the lull's and then instantaneous highs of the soccer that lead to them knowing exactly how to convey excitement. Either way, the BBC's call of Freese's homerun is awesome.

Personally I enjoyed Joe's tribute to Jack followed by silence followed by McCarver calmly asking "How did this happen?"thrill wrote:British announcers are better at all sports. I don't think that holds a candle to Gary Thorne's call on ESPN International.thrill wrote:British announcers are better at all sports. I haven't seen it. Btw, the same logic I applied to soccer announcers applies to hockey announcers. I was told the ESPN radio version of the game 6 call was the best but I can't find it anywhere
