Arizona is still a possibility, but I do wonder if his desire to stay in the AFC might overwhelm that.

Highest probability landing spots at this point, imo - Dolphins, Chiefs, Broncos, Tennessee.

I think the Jets are probably in that mix, as well.

Manning will be in Denver tonight, visiting with the Broncos.

I can see Elway really pressing for him as a way to get out of the Tebow situation, but does Manning really want to play behind that offensive line and have no proven targets except the ones he's able to lure with him?

The offensive line is young, but actually isn't bad. They didn't lead the league in rushing by accident, and the sack totals are largely because of Tebow's indecisiveness (which to me was his biggest fault), and the fact that he got caught behind the line on quarterback draws too many times. Miami and Arizona have far worse offensive lines than Denver, I think.

I don't recall anybody worrying about Tebow having bad receivers.

Actually Demaryius Thomas is an excellent young receiver, and Decker and Royal are more than capable.

I agree that the O-line has potential, and maybe the receiver corps does too, but Manning isn't really in a position where potential matters that much. If he goes to Miami, he has a more talented offensive line that is already playing at a high level and an established #1 receiver.

Is there a reason why Miami gave up the most sacks-per-attempts in football? I'm not trying to be a jerk about it......... maybe there is a reason. That doesn't sound like a good offensive line to me.

Ideally, Manning would go to an established team........ but there aren't many "established" teams looking for a quarterback. Denver advanced to the second round of the playoffs last year, with what most people consider sub-par quarterback play.

I would imagine it had to do with a few things.

-a one-dimensional offense that didn't pass much until they had to late in games, meaning defenses could blitz and tee off

-poor QBs

With Mike Pouncey and Jake Long, they've got two really great cornerstones, both Pro Bowl-quality players.

Well, they had Matt Moore as their QB and they sucked early in the year when they were a fledgling unit.

Denver's left tackle Ryan Clady is a 2-time Pro Bowler.

Speaking of one-dimensional offenses, Denver threw the ball less than any team in football.

Poor QB's: I assume that most of you think that would apply to Denver.

I don't disagree that all of those things are legitimate gripes, but they're even more legitimate gripes for Denver. Personally, I think that Manning will choose Miami, but I think it has more to do with playing in a warm climate than anything else.

Broncos owner Pat Bowlen is prepared to do whatever it takes to land Manning, the highly prized free-agent quarterback who is flying with the team's football bosses of John Elway, John Fox and Brian Xanders to Denver for an visit.

Bowlen took a redeye flight late last night from his Hawaii residence and is at his Dove Valley headquarters office awaiting Manning's arrival.

The Broncos do have the financial resources and salary cap room, the source said, and are willing to do what it takes to sign Manning.
