Yeah, but is whatever I'm driving to really more important than murdering idiots who can't drive?ghostrunner wrote:I think doing that would slow you down considerably.cpebbles wrote:I'd rather get a special license that allows me to pull over and murder people who are driving 35 in a 45 MPH zone or who sit at a green light for more than the acceptable quarter of a second and then try to get to speed without ever revving their engine over 2000 RPM.

Duh.
I'd rather take a cab and honk the horn at the right time to jump over Ammu-Nation. Or pop in SA and try to jump a NOS'd cab off Mt. Chiliad.cpebbles wrote:Great, now I've got an irresistible urge to go hook up my PS2 and jump a firetruck onto the roof of Ammu-Nation in Vice City.

Interestingly, that's what I've always thought about Missouri drivers when I cross the river.docellis wrote:I think people in Illinois seem to think that there isn't a fast lane. All lanes can go at whatever speed they feel like.

Re: redlight/speed cameras shoot them out?
Just now I was heading out to get my afternoon Dew, stopped at a light behind an SUV, all 3 lanes hit the gas the second the light turned green, and some lady tried to make the light coming from the left, ran it the red and slammed in to the car in the 3rd lane. The law says you are supposed to wait a full second after the light turns green to go, that accident does not happen if everyone pulling out from the light follows the law exactly, and also looks before they hit the gas.
Again, a red light camera does nothing to stop that accident from happening, but following the rules as they are written does.
You may be the best driver in the world, but for every one of you, there are 1000 divers like the lady who trid to beat the light.

Considering most lights have a 1-2 second delay between one side turning red and the other turning green, that was a pretty egregious red light run.wart57 wrote:Just now I was heading out to get my afternoon Dew, stopped at a light behind an SUV, all 3 lanes hit the gas the second the light turned green, and some lady tried to make the light coming from the left, ran it the red and slammed in to the car in the 3rd lane. I have never heard of a law that you have to wait a full second after a light turns green.

Ignoring the rest of your post, the bolded above can't be right.wart57 wrote:Just now I was heading out to get my afternoon Dew, stopped at a light behind an SUV, all 3 lanes hit the gas the second the light turned green, and some lady tried to make the light coming from the left, ran it the red and slammed in to the car in the 3rd lane. Because it isn't a law probably. And I just checked, isn't a law in Arizona either.Transmogrified Tiger wrote:I have never heard of a law that you have to wait a full second after a light turns green.
