I agree completely. I'm half expecting the killer to be some pizza delivery boy that was on screen for six seconds in Episode 3.

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the Mayor, his huge development deal with the shore revitalization project and needing to win the election to make it happen or something.

Whoever it is, whatever it is, I appreciate you all letting me know, thereby saving me the time it'd take to watch all of those ridiculous red herrings.

And here's the problem with fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants writing. As of now, Richmond's suicide attempt on the bridge just so happened to take place at the same time Rosie was being killed. The people setting him up had no idea he was there and could not have planned it out that way.

Horribly lazy plotting there.

I hope they develop him better this season (they will, he gets more face time in the second book). He was one of the only characters I didn't think came off 'right' in the first season. I always imagined a worse facial burn, and more fury than he showed in his brief appearances so far.

But, hey, I'm only grouchy because the Hound is probably my favorite character in the books.

I think they got him right in the first season. In book 1, he was just a menacing presence, it's not until book 2 that he gets more face time/action.

They didn't know, nor care.
It was a doctored photo.
The people behind it have the Lt and Police support. Richmond was all ready a suspect. Gwen told the police about Richmond, so they knew they had the window to put the nail in the coffin w/ the fake photos.

It's tough for me to gauge it without the books as a frame of reference, but I will say that I thought he was a really cool character in the limited exposure he got in the first season. The more he and his brother are on screen, the better.

I thought that episode was a step back for Justified.
[SHOW]
Dickie's in a jam? He magically gets out of it. Quarles in a jam? He magically gets out of it, twice. Law enforcement side character who's never been anything but background noise suddenly mentions his kid? There couldn't be a more clichéd red flag that he was going to get shot or die. That's just bad writing.

Still a really great season, but that kind of [expletive] is what bugs me about the show from time to time.
