The GRB Piñata of 2012

Post by AdmiralKird »

I know we're only two games in, but we've been blessed these past few season with a lot of suckitude to vent frustration. We've had Juan Encarnacion, the perennial Aaron Miles, Tony La Russa, an entire bullpen for most of 2011, Colby and Tony Rasmus, etc.

I'm on the hunt for the next Bautista. Who is it going to be? This new bullpen catcher, Jaime Pogue... not sure I'm a fan. It just doesn't feel like Cardinals baseball unless I have something to pull my hair out over.

Skip, K-Mac, JW, and Greene are probably the leading candidates if they get enough time. The dark horse could be Furcal if the bad injured version rears its ugly head.

This group really hates Skip so I'd say him.

I thought KMac already had this nailed down. Predict that Skippy will get a lot less flak now that he is returning to a fifth outfielder kind of role.

Seems about right.

Throw Romero in there. There's no mercy for a LHRP who can't get LHB'ers out.

I'm frustrated at Skip's talent level & his status as a starter last year, but he has my respect. I've never seen less than a 100% effort from that guy. Remember, he was persuaded to try to step in as a 2b'man, & he didn't hesitate.
He does whatever he's asked to try to help the team without complaint, including this year. He's accepting his role as a sub. I'm not excited at all that he's on the roster, when I know younger guys can do the same job at lower pay, but I tell you what, Skip is a classy pro.
