In my mind, there are only 3 reasons to choose Subway for lunch:

1.) Only restaurant within 10 miles
2.) Only deli-type restaurant nearby and you are craving a deli sammich
3.) You want a lot of food per dollar, and it is $5 footlong time

Waiting 10 minutes for a good sammich is not an excuse to choose Subway instead. Jim is [expletive] insane.

You could save at least 5 minutes if you gave up sandwiches and started eating some kind of fortified food pellet substitute. It could turn your whole life around. Think of how different and better things would be if you could waste that 5 minutes posting on GRB about how happy you are to have saved them by eating the pellet instead of waiting in line for a delicious sandwich.

Yeah, Hungary. I'm sure Mr. Whiskers would love to share some of his yummy pellets.

It isn't bad. Just generic.

What confused me in the other thread was the Bread Co. hate. I had no idea it was so universally loathed.

It is bad. I worked there for one day and the meat is gross and the bread is very low quality (though they have some better options now).

I agree, Bread Co. is fine. I think everyone hates it because you can't get a "FOOT LONG" sandwich cheap. A "half" there, imo, is 100 times better than subway.

HJ doesn't realize that he has to wait for the patrons that are ahead of him in line to be served first, even though his jeans are more expensive.

++

I've never had a craving for Subway, so there are no reasons for me to choose Subway. It's usually a food of last resort.

Is Bread Co Panera? If it is, it's just that it seems so overpriced and they try to justify it by fancy sounding names for their sandwich and ingredients that nobody understands. For instance, what they say they are putting sun-dried tomato ale mustard on our Focaccia, they really mean ketchup on the bread. Anyone person or company that says sun-dried tomato ale mustard on our Focaccia with a straight face ... well [expletive] you.
